Hidden on the southern end of Nuffield Street in Newmarket is a well skated bump that people have been hitting for years. Click here to check out Bam Magera skating this spot (and 'ace place bank') during an old Adio tour (at 4:20 mark).

Concrete Jungle is resource created for locating and sharing skateboard spots in and around Auckland city. This resource will challenge the idea of ‘secret spots’ but shit, its time to give it up everyone!! In the end everyone wins, more spots for everyone. When I receive a spot I will go take photos and put it up on the site. To send in a spot email me at skatezombie13@gmail.com with the location (and photo if you have one) and Ill go check it and put it up!
Well after quite a bit of planning and photo taking concrete jungle is up! Its going to start small but remember the more spots you send in the bigger and better its going to get. SO get out, start looking and send em in!
The idea behind this is if heaps of you can contribute just one or two of your favorite spots this can turn into a really useful place to find new places to roll. When you send in a spot I'll go check it out and if it looks okay take photos and put it up on the blog. This has the potential to become a really killer resource for everyone to discover new spots and help solve the timeless question "where are we going to skate?".
Every month concrete jungle will be giving out a prize (any thing from bearings to boards!) for the person who sends in the best spot of the month. In the near future the site will start to include skate related news, events etc.
Okay, check out the site I will put up a new spot most days so start sending in your spots!
This rough concrete bank is at the end of Ace Place just outside Kingsland. Best skated
Saturday or Sunday as cars are often parked in front. This is a super fun warm up spot.
Check out footage of Bam Magera hitting this bank a few years ago- crazy! Click here

At the top of Shortland Street you will find this angled stone ledge.
This slides and grinds surprisingly well. There are other ledges to do tricks off in this area too. If you head up the driveway you will also get to an interesting manual pad with metal coping. There are plenty more spots on Shortland St (no hospital though?) and its a pretty fast hill to bomb if you get sick of tricks. Score 7/10
